When home computer started up yesterday everything looked normal right up until Windows start up. Once the desktop appeared the display went from horizontal to vertical. Not sure if this is computer or Windows XP causing the problem.

Anyone have any ideas.

Hi angelob ... :) ..:)
try CTRL + ALT + up arrow key

try CTRL + ALT + all the other arrow keys one at a time
there are also options right on the monitor on some models...
it is also possible in the advanced tab of the display properties window, right click on a empty spot on the desktop...propreties...settings tab...advanced...look around and see if there is a setting to switch the orientation...
nojoy...give us the make and model of your moitor
