Reconnect all the cables and Check both ends of the Ethernet cable connected to the adapter to ensure they are not loose.

Replace the Ethernet cable with a different one to verify the cable is not damaged.

Update the network adapter driver software from the manufacturer's Web site.

You have to check all of the connection regarding to it that it is connected properly or not. As well as you also have to installed all of the drivers again. The driver which you have installed doesn't support it. You have to re-installed it and try it again. Hopefully you will surely solve your problem.

Could just be something simple like a 1394 connection unplugged, which is fine.

Bring up Network Connections from the control panel and post a screenshot of it.
