On my dell xps m1330 laptop (originally Vista) I have upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium. Now my internal speakers are not working. Both of my head phone jacks are working and sound it coming out when i plug in headphones. Also sound works when I plug in usb headset. When I go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound, It shows Speakers (High Definition Audio Device, Default Device) which is one of the jacks for the headphones, another Speakers showing which is Not plugged in, that is the 2nd headphone jack and Digital Audio HDMI. The speakers worked perfectly fine prior to installation.

I have tried everything I could possible thing of. I have been surfing the net trying to find some info that help me solve the problem but nothing helped so far....

Manuel did not help. From what I am seeing is that laptop is not seeing the speakings... sees everything except the speakers even thou speakers were working prior to Windows 7 installation.

I have been seeing similar problems posted on multiple forums but no one ever said that they resolved it.

I tried it and keep getting "ExitError:Error=Device object not present, restart the system and run set up again"

I restarted and ran it again and getting same error massage.

Hi, was your win 7 an upgrade or full new install. If it was a full new install Dell requires a set order for driver installation
