Hope you are comfortable with opening up your computer if so;
1;disconnect everything from your computer & take off the side panel
2;take anti static precautions by touching a bare metal part of the case
3;remove gfx card & blow out the slot, reseat the card securely
4;do the same with the memory stick/s
5;check all other connections are securely in place
6;re-assemble everything & power up

Opening up your case will also give you a chance to have a general clean
inside as well, the priority here is to get your computer back working asap
Good luck & let us know how it goes

Alright well we are getting some progress. The screen now says gateway and and lights up but then it says no signal rgb then turns off. The light turns orange instead of staying blue.

This is caused by an interuption in the signal from the computer to the monitor,
so if you havn`t tried another monitor lead do so now, if you have remove the add
on card & use a pencil eraser to clean the gold finger along the cards edge, you
can do the same with the memory sticks, this apparently will dispel any static that
may have built up.

I was waiting for your reply and when I woke up this morning it is doing the same stuff it was before. The light stays on and the screen is black. I cant even hit the power button for it to turn off. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it.
