My motherboard is dead and I cant access my hard drive via another pc as i had a password on my account. The password is know, however it doesnt even ask me for it, just says access denied. Have I lost all my work? Please help, this was all my dissertation info for uni.

Hi,

If you install the hard drive in another computer as a slave you won't need a password because it won't be the boot drive, you can then access your work.
