Hello, I have been having trojan and virus problems on my work computer for the last few weeks. Spybot has found "PWS.LDPinchIE" and "Microsoft.Windows.disableSystemRestore". I have also seen win32.exe, lsass.exe, and mdm.exe running. I have disabled them using MSCONFIG but that does not seem to keep it from starting again. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thank you!

I have tried MalwareBytes (finds win32.exe, lsass.exe, and mdm.exe and removes) and Advanced Spyware Remover (which finds nothing).

Download ComboFix here :

Link 1
Link 2

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. Here is a guide on how to disable them

    Click me

  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt log in your next reply.

Does it matter which account I am logged into?
Most of the viruses only show up on scans that are done when I am logged on as my account. When I log in under the admin account nothing is found.

why did you run combofix twice ? Post the log C:\qoobox\combofix.txt

and do this

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

File::
c:\windows\system32\Spool\prtprocs\w32x86\79q1w9u.dll
c:\windows\system32\Spool\prtprocs\w32x86\31q93c7s.dll
c:\windows\system32\5661d43e.exe

KillAll::

RenV::
c:\program files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccapp .exe
c:\program files\iTunes\ituneshelper .exe
c:\program files\Symantec AntiVirus\vptray .exe
c:\windows\System32\ico .exe

Registry::
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg]

Driver::
{AEA986B4-57A0-4614-885C1E80C48C9E8F}
{BCCF8C2A-8804-4475-83DF5FC0D88B0F77}
MSWU-5661d43e

NetSvc::
{AEA986B4-57A0-4614-885C1E80C48C9E8F}
{BCCF8C2A-8804-4475-83DF5FC0D88B0F77}

Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

Posted Image

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe

When finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt which I will require in your next reply.
