This will sound stupid, but I had a "friend" staying with me for a while. He fancies himself a PC whiz. He was always on my PC, and I get the feeling he can access my PC from another PC. Can he do this or am I just paranoid. I do have Web Watcher installed.

Mr Zing-

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go! :)

I suggest taking a look at the Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide. This will help you disinfect the majority of malicious software from your system. If that doesn't solve your problem, post a new thread in the Removal Help for Virus, Malware, Rootkit, Search Redirect Forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to this thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Thanks for responding. I followed the guide lines and posted the logs, for the exception of the OTL log.

Hi Mr. Zing,

Your reports (malwarebytes, and Gmer) should be posted into a new thread in the malware forum. This forum specifically is not allowed to deal with those logs.

Download and install Everest home edition from my signature.

Once done please start the program.

On the left hand side scroll down to "software" there will be a small list of options now click on "installed programs"

Now click on Report, in the drop down menu select "quick report installed programs" then select "HTML"

copy and paste the results in your next reply.

Also please click on "operating system" then click on "processes"

now select "quick reports processes" and select "HTML" reports

copy and paste the results in your next reply.

Click on "operating system" and then "services" create another quick report of
"services" with "HTML" and post that here in your next reply.

Make sure to copy and paste all 3 of the reports on you next reply.

Please don't include any information below "DEBUG PCI" in the report
just scroll down towards the bottom you will see what I mean.

Good luck
