Create Account How it Worksto safe file to desktop in firefox you need to go to tool/options and change the download settings to desktop or check off to ask where to download to each time .chose the desktop and try running it from there ,link below is same one Grif Thomas posted in his postI am having trouble installing Adobe Flash Player on Firefox, which is the browser I prefer to use. (I love all their add-on's!
) I just got a new Gateway Netbook 32 bit that is running Windows 7 Home Premium Edition. Just installed Firefox as my browser, tried to get on You Tube & hit a wall!
I came across this page on the internet.....http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6122_102-0.html?threadID=287696.........this is exactly the same problem that I am having. Adobe Flash Player is giving me instructions on how to add it on Firefox by clicking on some gold line that does not exist!
Two people responded to the question. The first response didn't do me any good but the second response by "Grif Thomas" seems to be on the right track.
I typed in the http address he provided and it brings up a box asking me if i want to save adobe flash player. I click "save" and it pops up in the firefox download box and that is as far as I can get. From there it tells me that I cannot proceed any further until I close firefox. Grif Thomas mentions saving the download to my desktop, but there is no option to save the flash player to my desktop. Only two options....save or cancel. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong direction and there is some other method of installing Adobe Flash Player on Firefox. My old computer ran on Windows XP and I don't seem to recall having this problem in the past. Anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
