I was cleaning up my computer, following the instructions on the Malware forum. After I did the cleanup, the next day the ERUNT window pop up saying it can't backup my registry keys.

I thought it was a malware problem. Thus, I posted my topic on the Malware forum. However, that wasn't the case.

What do you mean? Do you mean to run ERUNT by clicking "Run as administrator"?

Install this right click menu add-on: http://www.howtogeek...-menu-in-vista/
Then, navigate to C:\Windows\Erdnt folder.
Right click on Erdnt folder and click "Take ownership".

Now, try again:
Navigate to C:\Program Files\ERUNT\ folder and right click on ERUNT.EXE and click "Run As Administrator".
