I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 and I have Started having some problems with playing games. I clicked on Control Panel, then clicked on Sytem and then on the panel that appears I clicked Device Manager. When this screen appeared in the panel on the left hand side in the car=tegory Other Devices the was a yellow question mark and underneath that there were 2 more yellow question marks.

Next to one qustion mark was - Multimedia Audio Controller
And The second question mark was - The Driver For This Device Are Not Instlled (Code28)

I have tried to reinstall the driver but it will not install, i have tried all that is recommended but the problem still there. I hopes you can help in some way.

I thank you in advance.

My Pc is an IQon I only use the hard drive for the Operating System because I have a 1terrabyte external desktop drive.

Specs:-

Display:
Video Adapter VIA/S3 UniChrome Pro
3D Accelerator VIA/S3 UniChrome Pro

Multimedia:
Audio Adapter VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller

Storage:
IDE Controller VIA Bus Master IDE Controller - 0571
Floppy Drive Floppy disk drive
Disk Drive WDC WD800BB-00JHC0 (74 GB, IDE)
Optical Drive PHILIPS DVDR1628P1
SMART Hard Disks Status OK

The problems are as follows:-

I cannot play any games I just get a blank screen, when i am on the internet and i scroll down the screen it is very slow.

I have tried the following:-

Uninstall and Reinstall driver (It will not let me do this even from CD)
Update driver (It will not recognise the driver even though it is the correct driver)
I have uninstalled the Video Controller then scanned for any Harware Changes (In The Device Manager I still get the Yellow Question Mark)
I have also Tried Using XP Repair from the Windows XP Disk)

The Graphics are on board.

I hope this information is helpful to solve my problem.
once again thank you in advance.

Since the video is onboard then you should have a drivers disk for the motherboard that will contain the video driver.
The information you supplied doesn't give enough information.
Please do the following.
Download and install Free Everest Home Edition
Open it.
1: In left pane expand Computer folder.
2: Click once on Summary
3: In upper menu, go Report
4: And then to Quick Report-Summary
5: Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.
Click the + by computer, click on Sensor. Get a screenshot and post it so I can check your temps and voltages...

DO NOT INCLUDE ANYTHING UNDER THE LINE THAT SAYS "DEBUG- PCI"

Ok that still didn't give all the information.
Is this a brand name system like a Dell, Compaq or HP?
If so what is the make and model number?
If custom built we need to know what the motherboard make and model is. I see the system is a Ireland based company of notebooks and desktop systems.

Do you have a Via 4 in 1 drivers disk that should have come with your system?
If not then try going HERE directly to VIA's website and download the 4 in 1 motherboard chipset driver for your system.
Drop down menu 1 click on Windows
Menu 2 XP
Menu 3 Integrated Graphics
Menu 4 You want the 7th entry down K8M800\K8N800 Unichrome Pro
New page will open and you need the first driver.
This should be the newest video driver for your motherboard directly from VIA.
