I recently was trying a old cpu in a motherboard with the motherboard in a old case on some standoffs. I did not screw down the motherboard and accidentally knocked the motherboard off and short circuited it. after putting the motherboard back on the standoffs and screwing it down to stop further incidentsts the computer booted up and worked fine.

What i want to know is, will the motherboard have any problems soon / in the future and is the motherboard damaged now (is it okay)?

Any problems would have happened before now.
Ideally for testing you shouldn't have left it in the case, and ideally not just sitting on the standoffs. Outside the case on a piece of cardboard would have been sufficient.

It should be fine but if you are really paranoid about it, pull the motherboard out and inspect the underside to see if there are any scratch marks or anything...
