Internet Cuts Out After I Download/YouTube

Hey guys, it's been a long time since I last asked for help here :)

So, I've noticed that after I try to download something, like a podcast from a website using Firefox, or any other browser, it stalls at 0% for about a minute, and the internet cuts out completely. I can't go to any other web pages in this time either. As i say, after about a minute it'll come back on, but it's pretty annoying. Same goes for streaming videos on sites like YouTube. It will buffer up to around 30seconds or so (it varies), but will then cut out for about a minute, and i won't be able to get on any other sites.

Just wondering what the reason behind this might be, any ideas?

I'd definitely appreciate the help,

Thanks. :)
