All applications I started gave me an error message saying the same thing - Application cannot be excuted. File is infected. Activate antivirus software now? - The message then would take me to a website to purchase an antivirus software for 50$. After that any website I try to go to sends me to a webpage that states - Website may be infected. Please purchase antivirus software. -

I then ran Malware and Spybot in Safe Mode but still could not connect to internet (in Safe Mode with networking). Neither solved the problem, however Malware found a Trojan which I removed. But when I ran MBAM again the same Trojan was again detected and removed, so I believe there is a root virus. I then ran a system restore, this got rid of the problem of every website loading to the same page but my computer is now outrageously slow. it actually takes 15 minutes to start my computer.

I also ran OTL and can post the report if needed.

Please Help. Thank You

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the
START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own.
If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum.
If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
