I own a Dell Dimension 2300 and want to upgrade the video card. Since the Intel 82845G video on the Dell is on-board, how do I disable it and install a new card? And what kind of video card would be best for my system?
Thanks

When you install a video card and its drivers its is automatically set to default video. Aslo be sure to plug the moniter into it. What vieo card you should get depends on price range. If ur looking for great performance and affordabilty go for a Geforce 6600 Gt, they cost less than 200

What kind of slot would you be putting this in? AGP or PCI?

Unfortunately, I don't have an AGP slot, so it will have to be PCI
