Hi there. I believe my computer may be randomly shutting off due to overheating. I'm using a computer temperature monitoring program and when my cpu goes under heavy load (like when playing a video game), my gpu & cpu temp skyrockets from around 50c to 70+c. I've opened my case and tried putting a fan on it but that seems to do nothing. All my fans are working, so I'm thinking maybe I need a new heatsink. I haven't tried using compressed air, but my computer doesn't seem to be that dusty. It's about 2 years old, the power supply is 500w and about a year and a 1/2 old, i believe it's an antec.

Comp specs
amd x2 4800+
3gb of ram
320gb hard drive
8600gt gpu
