I changed my PC setup on my desk.
Was very careful re cords - marked them all (to and from)
Everything working fine except the sound system is 'roaring'.
Have sound but weak and roaring drowns out most of it.

Not sure what I did during the move since took my time, patience to make sure all connections were as before the move. Did or did not do something right - can advise?

Computer stats

Dell XPS 400 Dimension
XP Pro Version 2002 SP3
Pentium ® D CPU 2.80 GHz
2.79 GHz, 2.00 GB Ram

Sound Card – Sigma Tel High Defin.
Audio CODEC

Thank you for any information you can give me?

Hello pdcagirl...

Double check your cabling at the computer end. It sounds like the speakers are either plugged into the wrong jack...or the connector is not completely in the jack.

Oh dear - am I ever red faced :) you're so right; the jack was not completely inserted. Live and learn. Sorry to have bothered you with such a trivial thing, but thanks so much for your response.
