Please i need some help fixing my compaq laptop. It showing this {windows root}\system 32\hal.dll
Please help me in re installing this file.

I later insert cd window xp into the drive . When i pressed repair. It shows set up did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer.
It shows make sure any hard disk drives are powered on properly connected to your computer.
Please i can i correct all this.What is the necessary solutions.
