Okay, I went through the whole process of trying to do the removal myself. I was very impressed until I got to the end. I am using a Dell Mini 10/10 and so I had to run in safe mode in order to run as administrator. On the last step I got the blue screen of death. So I shut down, tried again to start up in safe mode, again, blue screen of death. So I packed up everything and moved into the other computer room to do this on my desk top and have my external Network drive available thinking I was going to have to reinstall windows and everything. I tried one more time and selected last know good configuration.

It came up. I am not sure if it got rid of everything though. I am moving out of the country and will have everything packed and will need this desperately so I don't want to push it. I was getting the Google Re-direct. First I had one of those sites that that downloaded the software for anti spyware removal or one of those. I had been using Skype and searching for a place to live in Mexico and going onto all kinds of sites that I couldn't read, in Spanish and hitting translate so who knows where it came from.

I have my other Laptop a HP HDX 18T on EBay because I need the money but now I am scared. Been up all night and have a ton to do, moving in three weeks and still have things to sell and pack and pet examines, etc... Please help. What should I do now. I dont' want to do a thing until directed. :)

Update, when I turned back to my mini, it was logging in on Firefox and I tried to go to a site and it took me to a porn site instead. So, the Google Redirect is there.

Can you tell me how to run those logs on the system through my external backup device or anything. I am afraid to make it worse.....

Do as much of

http://www.geekstogo...uide-t2852.html

as you can. If a step won't work, skip to the next one. Copy and paste your gmer, mbam, otl, & extras logs into a reply. Do not attach them.

If you lose internet access after running MBAM or if you are not able to get to the downloads:

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, then uncheck all boxes and OK. Close IE and restart IE.

In FireFox, Tools, Options, Advanced, Settings, check No Proxy then OK. Close Firefox and restart Firefox.

In Chrome, Wrench, Options, Under the Hood, Change Proxy Settings, uncheck all boxes, OK.
