Hi I'm dean and I need some help for my pc.

The pc is an emachines e4252

Last week my pc crashed and I had to hold the power button untill
the pc turned off. Everything was working fine after that, but it
sounded very noisy like it was working overtime.
I tried turning my pc on this morning and it came up with windows
error recovery. So I tried launching start up repair(recommended) but it then powered off.
So then I tried it again but I tried starting windows as normal. And exactly the same thing happened
I finally got it into safe mode and done a system restore which seemed to have worked
but after around 7mins it powered off again. And now I will not boot past the the windows error recovery.
It just powers off. I can access the bios settings and boot menu. But after that it just powers off

If anyone has any ideas I would appriciate it

thanks in advance
dean

Hi Dean102 ... :) ..:)

run chkdsk /r...instructions are here...
you may have to run it from the command prompt using the recovery cd
if that doesn't fix the problem...run sfc /scannow

Thanks again in advance

did you try running chkdsk /r from the recovery cd...
if so and it failed...it could be one of dozens of things...
PSU issue...ram...mobo...video card or driver...thermal paste needs to be reapplied
