Hi, I wonder if anybody out there can help me. A few days ago our PC got hit with a trojan attack. We run sophos and ZoneAlarm and regularly use AdAware but made the mistake of visiting a cracks site :tazz: .
Anyway, pretty soon a program icon for Security Iguard appeared on the desktop and CMD32.exe kept on trying to access the web. The desktop background was replaced with a security warning about a fatal error in some file. We ran sophos and it detected 2 trojans, but said it cleared them. Ran adaware and it went crazy, found shedloads of stuff including in the registry. Thought all was well but the background is still black and when display properties is selected the background tab is missing. Pictures cannot be set as wallpaper either. We found your site and read a post thread that showed a similar problem to ours ("Smitfraud Trojan... yet again") - thanks to Bananafanafo, we read your replies and did a lot of the stuff you suggested. So far I have run:
Trendmicros Housecall - found and removed stuff
Active Scan - ditto
Ewido - ditto
Spybot - ditto
AdAware - ditto
Sophos - not found anything since first scan

Below is the latest HyjackThis log. Any help much appreciated ;)
