Hi, I came here looking for help on Aurora popups as it was the first thing that came up on a google for a fix for it.

My actual problem can be described as Aurora popups (and IE popups as well, even though I attempted to disable and irradicate internet explorer) occuring in clusters of 2 or 3 every minute or two. The IE popups are being blocked by my Popup Blocker, but they seem to be remaining open long enough before being closed to minimize my other programs, games, etc. The IE popups seem to only flicker at the maximum time open, and other times you can't even notice they're open at all. The only thing that will happen is the active window will lose it's.. activeness, and become greyed. This is extremely obnoxious. However, the Aurora popups clearly blow past everything I try to block it with and fully open.

I've looked through other topics relating to this and I thought that it would be best if I created my own topic. I downloaded HiJackThis into it's own folder, and ran a scan. This is the log file.

Thanks for the help guys, ahead of time.

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Please download Nailfix from here:
http://www.noidea.us...050515010747824
Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:
http://www.pchell.co.../safemode.shtml

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan.

Next please run HijackThis, click Scan, and check:

I'm finally finished with all of that. I followed every direction precisely... However, the Ewido Security Suite froze ("Windows has encountered a problem...") after about 96% completion, which took a long time, but it still got a lot of files deleted. I'm sorry to say I have no Ewido log. Everything was done in safe mode.

Thank you very much once again. Here's the new HiJack This log.
