So, I've read a ton of stuff recently about the Dell XPS M1530 webcam and problems people have had with it. For a while mine was working fine (even the audio wasn't terrible) but now I'm experiencing both a lot of feedback from the internal mic -and- there's like a half second delay in the video, where my mouth is moving but the audio has already played (synchronization issue I guess that'd be called.)

I'm curious then, since it worked for a little while without issue but then turned on me, if there's some webcam software I could use other than Dell's Integrated Web Cam manager that might fix this problem (as pretty much every time I've replaced something from Dell with something from someone else I've been happy with the result.) There's a lot of stuff out there but I'm a little weary of just downloading and installing new software without some recommendations.

For the record, I'm not in a dark room, the video is recording at a rate of 8 FPS (when the manual says I should expect 30), there isn't all that much running in the background when I record, I have 4G's of RAM, and I've played with all the settings to try to improve the issue to no avail (basically, I've tried all the easy, quick fix stuff a google search turned up.)

Any thoughts on fixes or new software would be greatly appreciated.
