I have a dell dimension 3000. It has a 40gb hdd and I wanted to add a 500gb. I did not do any research (dumb I know) and most all computers I have had any dealings with had multiple bays for HDD. Well, this one doesn't. Would it be possible to add another bay for the additional hdd.

http://support.dell....OM/j6758A04.pdf this is the owners manual. page 52 shows inside of case

Thanks for your help.

Only two real options here:

1) Take the floppy drive out if you don't use it.
2) Replace the 40Gb with the 500Gb, otherwise that case can only ever have one hard drive in it if you take nothing else out.

Unfortunately this is what happens when you buy branded machines - they don't want you to upgrade it, they want you to buy a new one.
