When it happens, the CPU will freeze and my monitor will switch to power saving mode. The error occurs on the subsequent reboot. I have noticed that if I reboot after the freeze but before the monitor goes to power saving, the error will not occur about 75% of the time.
A few questions:
Is it possible that my PSU (420-watt) is being drained and is not sufficient for my system?
Is there a diagnostic available for my PSU?
Would chkdsk be effective for this problem?
