Hi! Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me. I've posted a few times on the Malware forum but this is my first time in H/C/P. I have a Peripheral question.

I'm in a small office and we have a Brother MFC9840CDW multifunction laser printer that just started giving me little black spots along the left side of the page. Sounds like a dirty drum, right? Well, it probably is, but the built-in "Drum Cleaning" function has not improved the issue in the slightest and actually it has gotten worse. I've run it close to 40 times and I've given up.

I know the next option would probably be to physically clean the drum... but I really don't know what I'm doing in that area. Should I try, and if so, could someone tell me the proper way to do it without harming it? I would really rather not buy a new drum. The manual is okay but doesn't give too many "If that doesn't work, try this" tips. I would rather ask a person. You are all such experts so I figured I couldn't go wrong with GeeksToGo!

I would so appreciate any guidance you can offer!

All the best,
Jessica
