Hi all. I am hoping someone can help me out, I need to find the IMEI number on my Dell Latitude e6400 in order to start up my mobile broadband but I am unable to do so. If anyone knows of how I can do this, please let me know! Thanks.

The International Mobile Equipment Identity or IMEI (pronounced /aɪˈmiː/) is a number, usually unique,[1][2] to identify GSM, WCDMA, and iDEN mobile phones, as well as some satellite phones. It is usually found printed inside the battery compartment of the phone. It can also be displayed on the screen of the phone by entering *#06# into the keypad on most phones.

It is nothing to do with your laptop.

The laptop has a mobile broadband package from AT&T in order to use a 3g connection for the internet anywhere. So, it actually does have something to do with my laptop.

Ive seen these machines with the WWAN cards built in. You can view the IMEI through the program you use to connect or by taking off the plate covering the part underneath the laptop. It should be printed right on the module.

Example of what it looks like here
