Local Connection but no Internet connection

I have a ADSL internet (Speedy - Telefonica), a Dlink WBR-1310 router and a Speedtouch modem. My notebook (Windows Vista Home Basic) sometimes only connects to the local network, and not the internet. It says it's a problem with the DNS and the main ports. What is it? I really need help. =/
