Keyboards freezing

IM using a laptop with a wireless keyboard. Every now and then I loose use of the keyboards. They start making a beeping noise when I hit any key. The mouse still works fine but I have to reset the computer to get the keyboard back. I've scanned for virus's, spyware, ect and didnt find anything. Any ideas?
This is on windows 7.
