Downloading video clips

When downloading a large video, made up of several short mpeg clips, is there a faster way to do it, other than "save target as", one clip at a time? Any free programs for mpeg clip downloads, using xp-home?

Would they work in Apples Media Player or Windows version.

Quicktime could work
