annoying beeping

ok well when i first got this laptop (dell latitude cs) it never beeped when i typed. it beeps now whenever i type or press any key on here (not including the mouse).i tried going into sounds and digging deeper in the computer to try to fix it and no luck.its annoying when i want to hear my music and i got the sound on and i dont wana type because the beeping is too annoying.is there a way to fix this?
