If you're running Windows XP ...
Click Start | Run, type in dxdiag and press [Enter]. After the "DirectX Diagnostic Tool" loads up, click the "Display" tab.
If that isn't enough info, click Start | Run, type in msinfo32 and press [Enter]. After "System Info" loads, click the [+] to the left of "Components", then click "Display" under that.
