Compaq computer running Windows XP that I just did System Recovery on. On starting the computer I get a pop-up indicating that my Windows Firewall has blocked "Back Web - 1940576" I have elected to have this block continue. Is this a file, program, that I should take some action on? I saw someone suggest on another site that I go to "Msconfig" and uncheck Compaq Connection. I always like to check with you guys before I do anything.

Thanks!!!

So do I just leave it on my computer or should I delete it? If I leave it on how do I prevent it from running at start up?
Thanks!

Wonderful! Thank you very much! When I do MSConfig one of the programs in Start Up is "Compaq Connection" This is not on the link list - is it OK to uncheck this so it does not run when computer is started?

Yes you can see the link.
When you load windows you will receive amessage that it is running in selective startup. There is a check box to "Do not show this message again."
You may wish to run it every so often just to check that there are no updates from HP/Compaq
