I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 7. My roommate still has Windows XP. I managed to get our router to work and the internet is working on both computers, but I can't seem to share anything. I would mainly like to share MP3s and the 1 printer. I "see" his computer (Jakexxxxxxx) in the network area but I can't connect to it, and neither can he to my PC. We are trying to use a Belkin G router through wired connections.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try the steps outlined in the article below. Should be just what you need.

How to make Windows 7 work with older Windows versions for networking and file sharing.
