Hey there,

Recently I installed my new Processor a Intel core 2 Quad 2.66ghz into my custom computer. I will post my dxdiag below. Immediately after I installed it ran for about 4-5hrs then gave me a blue screen saying a whole slew of things. Mainly stating that if this is your first time seeing this screen please restart your computer. I did that and on average now it works for about 2-4days without crashing again and stating the same message. When the crash occurs it does a memory dumb as well I dunno if that's important to the situation or not. It also says to contact the manufacturer if this problem persists. I wish I could give you guys the exact blue screen message but it is rather extensive.

Any help on this situation would be appreciated

-Thanks

Problems of this kind after changing the CPU may be due to overheating/insufficient cooling.

See I thought that but the computer only runs a little bit hotter with this processor at 33 degrees Celsius which i think is roughly 91.6 degrees Fahrenheit. My computer has three main cooling fans on it so it kinda baffles me that lack of cooling would be the issue. Unless you mean that the insufficient cooling is on the processor fan? Anyhow I'm kinda at a loss. :)

When you get your next BSOD try to get the error code (0x00000000) this will help to narrow down the reason.

Or download BlueScreenView v1.26 and install it and it will show you all your latest BSOD and its report.

Ok just ran a windows memory diagonostic and I scanned all 4 of my 1gig sticks of memory individually and found out that they are all bad so I guess that could have been the issue with the blue screens

I would recommend testing the memory sticks further before any purchase.
Did you try running this http://www.memtest.org/#downiso
Did you test each stick individually in each slot.
What is manufacturer of the memory sticks, where they purchased all at the
same time, in pairs or individually.
While it is possible for it to happen, if your 4 memory sticks have gone
bad all at once A.you have been very unlucky or B. something else has taken
the memory sticks out.
Unfortunately it would usually be caused by B.
I would also run a Crucial system scan for your memory requirements, no
purchase is necessary http://137.201.245.2...ner/?click=true

I do agree phil that 4 sticks going bad is unheard of. The manufacturer of the RAM is Mushkin-1gig- sliverlight 800mhz. I did test each stick individually however did not rotate each one throughout the individual slots. However I did test each one individually in the slot that they were in, basically testing all the slots to see if they were damaged. I will also try going through each slot with each individual stick. Also I was having virtual memory issues earlier in the year but I didn't read to much into that because it was dealing with adobe illustrator and photo shop programs, but I don't know maybe that could have been the cause of each stick going bad.

Also I was having virtual memory issues earlier in the year

Virtual memory issues is generally related to not enough ram. With 4gb's you are probably only using 3.5gb (if a 32bit OS). I would think that to be sufficient for adobe illustrator. This could be the start of your problems.

but I don't know maybe that could have been the cause of each stick going bad.

Virtual memory errors or using adobe and tasking the system will not cause the ram to go bad.

Lets see if we can get some better system information.

I am specifically looking for temperatures and the voltages.

Download and install PC Wizard 2010

Run the program and it will analyze your computer and then display the results.

Well I got my new 2gig mushkin RAM stick 800mhz today and installed it. Did a memory diagnostic to see if the issue was resolved and its not the diagnostic is still telling me that I have bad RAM with a brand new 2gig stick.

To be perfectly honestly, could this be a motherboard issue in which the RAM ports are fried after I installed my processor?

Also how would I know if they are fried, the reason I ask this is because when I do a DxDiag it still accounts for the RAM being in my computer with is only 2gigs as of right now.

while it is not unheard of the chances of you having 4gb of bad ram &
then purchasing a further 2gb only for that to be bad also are highly
unlikely.
Download & run this http://download.cnet...4-10556571.html
select tools then analysis and advice - create a report to your desktop
this will then highlight any issues with both hardware and software and
tell you what you need to do to resolve them.

Ok here is the report with the 4 original 1gig mushkin RAM sticks in. The reason being is because when I have the 2gig Stick in it automatically gives me a BSOD. So here's what the report states. Please let me know how to fix any of the issues that appear in this report.

-Thank you
