I've recently gotten rid of a virus(from the help of here) that was blocking me from accessing any websites, yet I was still able to get on AIM, get updates for software, etc. That was taken care of and I can access sites but my connection is very very slow. I don't know why and could use some help.

Try re-setting the router (switch off. Leave 10 minutes. switch back on).

have you tried connect the computer directly to the modem?
