Hi,

I have a Dell Computer, Dimeson 3100, and the ethernet connection taht is built onto the mother board died. Can I install an Ethernet card into one of the spare computer slots and connect to the internet?

Thanks

Yep according to the specs below
Slots

2 PCI slots
1 PCIe x1 slot

You can buy a 10\100 base T pci ethernet card and install it with no problem. You will most likely have to go into the bios and disable the onboard ethernet so there won't be any issues with that.
If you need assistance in locating a card let me know and I will help.

Thanks everyone for all your assistance and Excellent advice. Lucky me, it's now up and running with a Ethernet card in a PCI slot. Could not have recovered had it not been for those who gave assistance and shared their knowledge.

HAPPY 4th to each of you. Be safe and enjoy
