I have millenium edition on my computer and want to upgrade it the problem is i don't have the upgrade cd and can't afford to buy one how would i do this

You want to upgrade to what?
Windows ME is really old operating system, so I doubt your computer specs will allow upgrading to anything newer.

Please, post some computer info:
- processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows logo key, hit Pause/Break key)
- hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties")

If you can't afford to buy a newer version I can't see how you are going to upgrade to a newer version.
In which case your current system specs is somewhat irrelevant so I don't know what Broni is thinking of.
