The problems are resurfacing and now more than ever, and what is confusing me the most my speedtest.net test.. something's obviously wrong with my download speed, and my upload speed is at its best. Right now I'm clueless at what to do.

My regular download speed is 2 megabits

I'm going to reset the modem right now and post if the problem is fixed

So I have restarted my computer and moved the ethernet cable to a different slot (the back of the modem)

Which one might have caused my speed to get back to normal?

Haha....that's why you don't try two fixes at the same time.
Wait, let me fire up my crystal ball....LOL

:)

Well we'll figure out if restarting the computer did anything tomorrow

Or if the problem is fixed permanently, it's because of moving the ethernet cable

My download speed got a bit better, but not at its best.

It was 0.6 mb/s at my first try.

Restarted computer and it was 0.7 mb/s

Then I moved the ethernet cable into a different slot and my speed was 1.13 mb/s

Restarted modem and it went to Posted Image

Restarted modem again and it went to Posted Image

I've noticed jerky - when I say jerky I mean very jerky - movements in my internet speed, particularly in my last two. What do I do now?

I guess, it may be one of two things, your ethernet card is malfunctioning, or the modem.
I'd call ISP and request new modem (usually free).
New ethernet card - ~$15

If I were to do only one - if (I'll probably do both) - which one would I do?
