My parents moved out this old XP computer from 2001, but it says I need a activation key, which I don't have since it was pre-installed with XP. I already used up the 40 days, so I have no access to it until I activate it. I need help, and we are so not buying a new XP disk, because 1st. they are expensive, and 2nd, they don't sell it in my area.

So any GeekU or experts at this stuff, please help me!

Howdy:

Is the key code located on a sticker somewhere on the computer? If so, use the "phone home method" (call Microsoft) and activate that way.
