Blue Screen of DEATH!

Im using, actually my uncle, a samsung R40 computer and at random times during work.. it just shut down or actually showing you the blue screen... and usually we have to hold down the power button and restart it again... Any help would be greatly appreciated... because it gets really annoying when your half way done on a project or something...

Have you got a copy of the xp installation disk so you can do a repair of the OS.
Also try running xp checkdisk http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265

Apparently, he doesn't have the installation disc. He only has the restoration disc... but I'll try a checkdisk run, just forgot how it is done X(
