HELP! I am getting ready for a graduate school that has the following laptop hardware requirements:

•Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor E7200 or greater
•3 GB RAM (Memory) or better
•2 GB available hard drive space (hard drive speed of 7200 RPM preferred)
•Network Interface Card (NIC) that can run at least 10/100 MBPS full duplex

My current laptop:
Memory (RAM)Capacity: 512 MB
AMD Turion 64
Version: x86 Family 15 Model 36 Stepping 2
Speed: 1790 MHz
Total Capacity: 73.49 GB
Used: 50.98 GB
Free: 22.51

Can I modify mine to meet the requirements? I'm guessing I'll need a new one hugh =)?! Any recommendations? I will need something that also has:

•CD/DVD Rom – CDRW and/or DVDRW preferred
•Dual-head video card with a minimum of 256 MB RAM
•USB Headset with microphone
•Webcam with Microphone

Thanks for the help!

It will mean buying a new laptop as you cannot upgrade a laptop beyond adding more RAM and a larger-capacity hard drive.
