Each time at boot-up (login) with XP SP1 on my Dell 4600, a window pops up titled "SymSPort.exe Error", saying that SymSPort.exe has encountered an error and has to close. I clicked the button that says "notify Microsoft of this problem" (ha-ha). Does anyone have an idea as to what might be going on? I want to upgrade to SP2, but they say not to if there is malware on the computer.

thanks. :tazz:
