Hey y'all. Just found this cool site. I recently (looks like a lot of people have) bought a CF-28 Toughbook. I hooked it up to my ethernet cable and got onl line. Man, is it slooooooooooow.
System says 1000Mhz PIII Dual core 30 Gb HD and 515,056 KB (strange), complete with a FLOPPY and Windows 2000 Pro.

Guess I should have geek'd on it a little harder before I bought it.
Here are my questions for someone who knows about these things (cause I SURE don't)

Is there ANYTHING I can do to upgrade this box and make it even somewhat faster?

Will it hold 2 sticks of 512MB RAM? (Panasonic website says it uses PC133 144 pin type?)

Does anyone have a complete w/caddy, drop in DVD/CD RW for sale?

Is there an upgraded processor for this model?

Am I doomed to have this slow box oro should I just bite the bullet and buy a real laptop?

I just thought it would be cool to have a TOUGH built laptop, as I am hard on stuff and this seem to fit the ticket. Thanks for yall's help
