Hello, a little while back I posted something here about how the thing that pops up when I go to youtube to watch a video and it pops up asking if I want to down load the video.. is missing. Someone here told me to download Real Player so I did and it fixed it.

Suddenly it isnt doing tht again, so that I can download videos. The thing isnt popping up to click on.

I re-downloaded RealPlayer just to make sure but still it isnt doing that.

I have Windows Media Player on here, is that causing it? If I try to remove Windows Media Player though in my Add/Remove programs, it something comes up warning that it might medd up other things on my computer.

So what can I do?

First, you should have the real player 11 installed and make sure you have Download This Video option enabled.

Macboatmaster,

I downloaded and installed RealPlayer SP

and when I click "Preferences" then "Download and Recording" I have it checked where it says "Enable Web Download & Recording for these installed browsers: Windows Internet Explorer 8.00"

That is what I have is Windows Internet Explorer 8.

But I still cannot download videos and the rectangle thing does not come up for me to download them.

Is it something in Internet Explorer where you click on Tools and Internet Options and Security that I need to change that would enable it to download?

Hello,

Im just letting you know that I got it fixed, this was the problem:

I went and opened my Real Player and clicked on "Help"

and I cannot remember how I got here but I wound up on this page:

http://real.custhelp...etail/a_id/7303

Internet Explorer:

1. Click Tools.
2. Select Manage Add-ons.
3. Locate RealPlayer Download and Record Plugin for Internet Explorer.
4. Ensure that it says "Enabled" under the Status column.
5. If it is disabled, click on the plugin.
6. In the lower portion of the window, select Enable and click OK.
(You will need to close and reopen Internet Explorer.)

..that fixed it!
