Oh my God! Thank you so much for your help dude, it has been completely installed!!! =D You're a genius!
One more thing though...Although my sound options are no longer greyed out, and I am not lacking any drivers apparently, I still cant work my sound, but what I do know is I definitely have the right driver!

Firstly, check that Use this device - enabled is shown in device manager.
Secondly check that speakers are plugged in the correct socket usually the light green one, I have seen them many times plugged in the blue one.
Control Panel Sounds and audio devices. Audio tab - check speakers on the test
