I just bought a new "open box" computer from a reputable big box store.

A couple of weird things:

1) On bootup it says no drive device found, yet the machine boots up fine.

2) Under the contol panel\system tab, it says: "ram: not available"
processor: not available"

Why is that and how can I fix this. Iknow it is a 1tb hard drive and 4mb ram.
Thanks.

1 - Make sure the account you're using has admin rights.
2 - Open Command Prompt (Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Command Prompt
3- At the Command Prompt enter the following command exactly as written including the two sets of quotes:

net localgroup "Administrators" "NT Authority\Service" /add

then press <enter>.

Okay did that and I get the following" '"Administrators" is not recognized as an internal or external command'

I am operating Windows 7. Am I doing anything wrong? I entered the command exactly as you typed it.
