I've uninstalled all previous versions and reinstalled the newest Flash from Adobe for Linux.
According to Adobe flash test

You have version 10,0,45,2 installed

oK I have completely uninstalled all flash from the system and installed the newest player which is version
10.1.53
I now have video and sound. I don't understand why it was being stubborn but now it works.
I'll let you know how it all works out.
