I've search through the forums and found some people with the same problem. But I tried and failed, making a ASR disk.
I made the assumption that windows xp home and windows xp pro would have a similar system folder. but while tried to follow instructions id did not ask for the password in step 3. and the commands in step four gave me the response that the file was inaccessable. is there a similar ASR disk for windows xp pro or... Help would be very much appreciated.

I reinstalled and OS windows xp black edition. not the one first installed as the computer is old, and the disk is missing.
that OS is given an error saying problem with hardware... but installed without a problem...
