Hello, thank you for reading this. Just yesterday, my computer's speakers stopped working. I checked my volume control and it turned out "Wave" was turned down low until it was mute. I un-muted it, and everything worked fine. A few minutes later, the problem reoccurred again. I kept repeating the process, but I want to know how to permanently fix this problem.
Again, thank you for reading this. I have the iexplorer.exe virus at the moment (trying to fix that); I wonder if it's contributing to the problem...?

You will have to clean your system of malware first before we can help you with the sound problem as otherwise it's going to be pointless, since malware may well be the cause. We can't help you with malware removal on this forum as it's against the rules. Please post on the malware forum first to get your system clean:
