Hi.

Trying to install a Linksys 54G USB Wireless device on my new computer. This unit happens to be courtesy of my employer, and has restricted me from writing DLL's to the Windows/System32 folder.

I get this error at the final stage of installation:

Unable to write to: C:\Windows\System32\WLAN.INI

Is there any other way to get the necessary files/dll's on to my windows/system32 folder?

Is there a way to get these files/dll's to work from another location (I have full system rights to install software that doesn't hit the system32 folder).

Here is a dump of what is on the CD:

autorun (setup information)
libeay32.dll
setup (configuration settings)
ssleay32.dll
wlan (configuration settings)

THE SETUP FILE looks like this:

I would say you need to talk to your employer. if they restricted access to install any .dll's, they dont want you installing anything on that machine.
so either ask them to give you permission, or ask them to install the wireless device.
